  • CCTC doorbell legal in block of flats?

This is in behalf of my auntie who is 76 years old:

She lives in a communal block of flats.
    Owns her flat.

A new neighbour (who is renting within the same block) has been antisocial towards her since he moved in a few months ago. . Taking her post, Throwing her shoes in the bin, Muttering rude remarks when he walks past her in the corridor, etc. He clearly doesn't like her.
She's most annoyed that he removed mail from her door letterbox because it contained a gift from her son.

There is no CCTV in the corridors outside her door, so she has no proof.

She recently installed a CCTV Doorbell on her door.
It does not point towards anybodys flat or door.
The view from her doorbell CCTV is the wall opposite and communal corridor and a communal door which leads to more corridor.

The neighbour told her it's illegal to have a cctv doorbell because it infringes on his privacy and rights.
he wants her to remove it.

Now my auntie is abroad and someone (i suspect the same guy) has stuck tape to cover her CCTV doorbell.

She installed the doorbell for her own security and feels scared with this neighbour.
She involved the police once but she had no evidence.. His word against hers.

Is she within her rights to install a CCTV Doorbell on her door?
Is there any way that he has a right to get the cctv doorbell removed?

The block of flats has its own cctv in the lobby, but not in the corridors.
There are no clauses in the Flats Rules regarding CCTV doorbells.
