Partner's Rights to my future Property

Hi Everyone,

I'd be very grateful if someone could advise or has insight into the following situation:

I am currently in the process of buying a first time home, in the region of £290,000-£310,000. The purchase would most likely be made in cash, with the possibility of a small mortgage being taken out solely by myself.

My partner will, once we have found and bought the property, be living there with me. What I would like to know, if possible, are answers to the following questions:
1. Under what circumstances may my partner claim entitlement to the property, or part of the property?
2. Would my partner under any circumstances be entitled to a share in the property if she were to help redecorate or refurbish it?
3. If I were to charge my partner a small 'informal' rental fee, would she have any entitlement to the property?
4. If at some stage my partner were to buy a share of the property, is there any way in which if we were to separate she would be entitled to more than the share initially agreed?
5. In relation to no.4, under what agreement could a share be bought and it be legally binding?

In short, I am simply trying to find a legally binding way to ensure everything which is established and agreed at the start is the same if things were to end and go south, so to speak. If needed, I have no doubt my partner would be happy to sign any documents which would assist in this matter.
