  • Second morgage

I bought a house in Nov 21, and March this year I was told that the second morgage was never paid. When i confronted my solicitor about it, they said i never told them, even thou i put it onto an income and expenditure form with the morgage advisor. This second morgage was clear as day, and it states that there were 2 morgages on it. Where do I stand with this, surely my house should not have been sold with this still in place. Everyone is blaming me and don't have a clue, isn't this why we pay solicitors all this money, this has done nothing but stress me and my wife out. Can anyone help me with what I should do next please

Can you please clarify: is the second mortgage your borrowing or the seller's?

Is this a second mortgage on the house you were buying or the one you were selling?
