Help , in the winter my new neighbour piled up rubbish against our wall in garden and the rain soaked through the extension wall of our newly painted lounge. The wall went moudly and wood work cracked but my husband being kind hearted said not to worry , he’s new and didn’t do it on purpose so we paid to have it repaired although it was no fault of our own. Fast forward 8 months , our neighbour is having work done. They pull scaffolding up against our house without asking, broke our cctv camera and where he has a lift extension , removed all our red ridge tiles and replaced them with grey tiles to match his house. Now he’s giving us excuses. I think we should Sue him because clearly he has no respect for other peoples property and has no intention of repairing / replacing damage.

I hope that you have plenty of photographs as well as copies of letters to your neighbor stating that he should not make alterations to your property. They will help in any proceedings if a financial settlement is not reached.
Always best to avoid legal action if possible as the lawyers are the ones who benefit most.
