She will certainly be hiring a solicitor but only if the landlord gets a court order as he has served a section 21 a year ago but didn't do anything after it expired so it may not be necessary if he doesnt take it any further.

Plus English isn't her 1st language so she will need professional help to prepare the legal documents which none of her friends are qualified to do including me.
