  • Advice needed on complaint about housing association officer

Hi I need some advice on what steps to take and what I should put into a complaint to my housing association. Long story short I have made several reports to my local housing officer about my neighbours smoking weed/parking issues etc… none of which were dealt with correctly or efficiently . Anyway my problem is that reporting antisocial behaviour and neighbourhood issues is supposed to be confidential. My housing officer went to my neighbours with an appointment and showed them a piece of paper which contained my name and the reports I had made to them, this then caused tension between them and me resulting in me having to confront them which was very stressful and now I have anxiety just going outside the front of the house! Surely my housing officer should never had shown that paper to them , it was supposed to be confidential. What policies/laws/data protection has this housing officer broken? And what can I do. Also none of the matters raised about the neighbour have even been resolved.

hopefully someone will advise soon - how do you know this happened? Did they tell you he showed them everything? Or did they just guess?

I was told by another neighbour that they weren’t happy with me so I decided to go and speak to them and they told me themselves
