  • Determining the Boundary of my Property

I’m trying to determine the exact boundary to my property.

I have access to the Land Registry records that shows my boundary in red and as you’re probably aware this is not exact.

We have a situation whereby the fence between ourselves, and the property next door, was erected and paid for by the previous owner of my property,

The neighbour on the other side has informed me that it is my responsibility for repair of the fence as it is “your fence” and “on your land” We have proceeded to repair the fence as problems arise.

I have a suspicion that this strip of land beyond the fence, belongs to my property - but they would dispute it.

Before I consider the legal way forward I wondered whether a “boundary surveyor” would be able to determine the exact boundary?

Has anybody got an experience of dealing with these matters?

The measurements would have to be very precise.

    Kind Regards,
