Hi, I am 10 months into a 12 month AST tenancy agreement and the landlord has just given me 4 months notice as he wants to sell the property. The four months would take me over the initial tenancy period but as he has served notice to me can I legally leave before the expiry of the initial 12 months, i.e in say month 11 or do I still have to wait the full 12 month period before leaving?

Hi Visionary
I think you would still be tied into the Tenancy agreement until the end, but you could ask your landlord to leave early with his agreement.
