  • Builders being sneaky

    Hi folks

I live In a end terrace and my back garden, on the left hand side is next to the back gardens of 4 bungalows on another street. Now the end bungalow at the far back end of my garden is currently undergoing a rear extension. The new owners had a new fence around 5-6 months ago. I noticed the builders are raising the ground level getting ready for the new extension..

Now I have a shed which is tucked away at the bottom of my garden, which is next to the owners new fence. At the back of my shed is a small woodland which i use to discard my grass cutting.
I took a fence panel out years ago, so I could access the woodland.

When I went down to my shed the other day I noticed the builders had removed 1 of my fence panels and made a timber frame to support their fence, and also screwed some cls timber into my shed for support aswel.. this has completely blocked off my access.

This came as abit of a shock, and to be honest pi**ed me off abit.
Because this timber frame is on my property and blocking my access off, am I legally aloud to saw this down? Without any confrontation.

please see the pictures below, and sorry for rambling on ha.

    Hi Worth08

I don't think you should saw it down, although you may be entitled to do so. I think you should write a polite letter telling them that they need to return your property to how it was previously.

    Here's some info - https://www.inbrief.co.uk/land-law/trespass/

You need to re-post the pics. Convert to PNG or something. Only certain formats work on this site.

Certainly do not damage any of their property as you could be charged with criminal damage (unlikely but possible).

      PS is it your woodland?
