I live with my Mother and my Wife. We have recently applied to purchase the house my Mother is the tenant. This has now been accepted and we have a valuation. I have supplied all my documents to a broker and he is satisfied we have all the finance to purchase. He has approached lenders and they are saying they are not willing to lend because of my Mother age of 76. She cannot be named on the mortgage but needs to be named as part of the ownership because she is the sole tenant. Apparently there is way around it but my Broker does not know?? Please can anyone advise.
Right to buy problem.
