My neighbour hates my new fence

Hi all , I wondered if anyone had comments on this matter, I live in a terraced house, I replaced my old fence that was rotten with a new fence that is slatted and at certain angles you can see through , it is under 2 meters and my side of the boundary wall. My neighbour says it affects her privacy and says I should have consulted her and wants me to change it. I did tell her I was having work done but saw no reason why I needed to ask her what fence she would like as I paid and it’s in my garden. Any thoughts ?

Well you have done nothing wrong.

If your neighbour dislikes the fence tell her she can erect her own on her side of the boundary line.

years ago I had a special offer 2 fence panels extra length I fitted, where i lived at the time, all because next door picked on the 4 children playing and making a noise in our long back garden, they reported the fences as being too long! council chap came took a look and stated 1 foot too long, then all of a sudden next door screaming at the children who were playing up the garden about 30 yards away, he stated is that the reason yes I stated. a certificate use allowed given there and then also a letter sent to next door about their behaviour! sorted!
