So, my neighbours have now seem to have extended the shared communal areas as storage for their flat. It sometimes makes it impossible to even get out of the main entrance. I have mentioned this before, but before I send another message, is it unreasonable to expect that a Victorian house shared by three flats shouldn't have items left there all the time! It's really bothering me now because I just think it's so inconsiderate now. I also don't want to be rude, because I think they are relatively nice people but I'm not sure they realise how much it bothers me! Advice would be welcome, thanks!

I’m a firm believer in nipping things in the bud ...... the longer you leave it, the more advantage they may take. Why don’t you put them a note through the door and say you find access difficult now due to them storing things and you are sure they would not want to inconvenience anybody.

Is this a fire exit as well?
If so then:-
Leaving the building
UK fire safety regulations state that an aisle or corridor classified as an escape route to the nearest fire exit should should not be less than 75 cm (29 1/2 inches) unless it is for use by less than five people in a specific part of the premises.
