The building I live in is currently getting its cladding replaced due to it being combustible/flammable. This means that scaffolding has been erected all over the outside of my building. For some reason when this construction started the building owners/managers replaced the door handles/locks to the doors that lead onto the balcony barring access to it. I’d like to know why this was done and if I have a right to request access to my balcony. I don’t understand how it’s a safety risk as I am an adult and I don’t plan on climbing over my balcony railing to play on the scaffolding.
