  • Appealing council tax band

    Good evening.

We appealed the banding on our property although this was declined. We are currently in an E although using the online calculator says that going by our house value in 1991 they put us in a D.

We found deeds as well as a sales brochure by chance from the previous owner and the house sold at £50,000 in 1991.

Received an email a couple of days ago stating that the online building society calculating tool is a guide and cant be used as evidence. They dont mention anything in regards to the copy of the deeds and sales brochure that i had sent, have marked my appeal as invalid and stated that an appeal is not possible.

Is there an option to appeal this decision ? We are in Scotland.

    Maggie
