Hi our*neighbour has perchest a plot of land oppisit to me & put in plans for a house it past they built it knowing there family member was sorting the plans out, Knowing he was high up in the planning department, No body in the council would tell me if that was legal or not so im hopeing somebody here would know , many thanks.

The Council certainly should know whether 'that was legal or not' as all councils signed up to local codes of conduct from 2012 on integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness etc.
Presumably the neighbours relative is a council officer rather than elected member? Makes little difference, they both have to behave. This conflict of interest needs reporting to the Planning Monitoring Officer to ensure the relative plays no role in the application decision.

Hi*CELESTINE, Thanks for replying, iv been contacting the council* on & off for years now past from 1 person to another & they say he is denying being a family member even tho have the same last name plus iv seen him stay there over night more then once, iv tryed the LGA all they say is its out of time, yes he is a council officer, Thanks again.Comment

Make sure you keep all communication in writing (email).
Get hold of the Members official email addresses as well as the Chief Exec, Ethics and Press offices - keep allegations factual, calm and objective. Take quotes from the document I linked to above on required duties and impartiality rules.
