  • Fraudulent Planning Application by Industrial Company

An industrial storage company submitted a planning application to refurbish an existing warehouse in a residential area. The planning was approved. However after the completion of construction loud noise emanated constantly from the building. Apparently, the planning application did not disclose the installation of externally located, loud rotating machinery that operates on a 24/7 basis. The architectural drawings did not specify the installation of this machinery either. I have submitted an appeal to the council but they do not appear interested in responding. What are my options?

Record the machine and report the company for noise nuisance.
You should also go to your local councillor that is what tehy are there for.
So make a fromal appeal about the planning in writing. Get a receipt for the appeal and ask what the response time is.
At the same time report the company for noise nuisance. Keep logs and recordings of the machinery. There is a limit that sound should not excede within a dwelling house.

Keep copies of these documents. Go and talk to your local councillor, Show them the planning permission and play them recordings of the sound.

It might also be worth going to the local paper as a human interest story.
