  • Title Deed Restriction Help

    Hello Everyone

New here, hope this is OK to post here.

I've will soon be getting added to the title deed of my late fathers home after a lengthy litigation process following his death. I will be having a restriction entered, and have registered for notifications from the land registry for any kind of movement on the deed.

My step mother will be living in the property and we do not have a healthy relationship, with her also having a history of manipulating things. I am very concerned once the restriction is entered and my name is on the title until she either co-habits or Passes on that she will attempt to have the restriction removed, possibly by my other sibling.

The land registry we're very vague and I've read as much as I can. I'm hoping someone with a lot of knowledge here could help a newbie to the housing market and how best to protect himself? Could you also explain what kind of precautions a restriction takes besides notifying me of sale attempts etc, does this possibly include having to see me in person to authorise a sale and likewise?

    Thank you for reading
