Removing a paid CCJ from the Land Registry

Back in 2007, I had a charging order issued against my house. This was identified when I tried to remortgage the property. I paid the creditor in full and have a letter from their solicitor confirming this and that the order had been removed from the land registry. However, the original CCJ for the debt is still showing in the registry. Should this not have been removed as well and if not, how can I get it removed please.

Paying off a charging order

Ask the court for a certificate of satisfaction on your CCJ and include evidence of payment. Creditors will usually inform the Land Registry that the debt has been paid so that the charging order can be removed from your property.

Thanks Mike770. Would that be on form N41 or N443 (they both appear to do the same thing)? Is there a charge for applying?

Use Form N443 to tell the court that you've paid the full amount of an order, and apply for a 'certificate of satisfaction' or 'certificate of cancellation'

Sorry - just one more question. Who do I send the form to - my local court or the one who issued the CCJ? I guess there's no way of submitting online is there?
