I am starting a claim against a plumber whose sloppy work has made it necessary for me to hire another plumber to correct matters, at a considerable cost. I'm attempting to claim back most of the original cost back.

How long a notice period do I have to allow before I send in the MCOL?

It has to be a reasonable time, I would think 28 days from date of letter but I think you could put from 7 days tbh.

Thanks. Ok so nothing is actually stipulated. I may just go for 14 days. The MCOL is already written!
