  • Help understanding Money Claim

    Hi there !

The 2022/05/09 I submitted a money claim threw http://www.moneyclaim.gov.uk for an issue with my office renting.

    The 2022/06/06 the defender answed

Now in the history, I can see "DQ sent to *** on 07/06/2022" where *** is the defender, but I can not found what a DQ is and if I have to do something on my side

    The "Claim Status" is "Defence"

Is there any deadline for this step ?

    Thanks for the help

    Hi Ajouve

So the other party has filed a Defence to your claim.

DQ stands for Directions Questionnaire, both parties are sent that by the Court. They have to be filled in and sent back to the Court. You also have to send a copy to the other party. They are time sensitive.

I would ring the Court and ask what's happening with the case and that you haven't received your DQ yet.
