  • Wily solicitor not replying...

I am making a claim against a limited company in England. There was various back & forth until I issued a Letter of Claim and they then passed it to their solicitor. He raised various points which I replied to, we couldn't resolve the issue so I am trying to send Particulars of Claim. I wrote to their solicitor asking to confirm they are available for service with no reply. Tried again after a week & still no reply. I assume I now use the Ltd company address details for service... only I'm slightly worried as this solicitor has been rather slippery to date and it wouldn't surprise me if there is some procedural rule they are hoping I will overlook?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

    Hi EL_GORDO

Your claim is against the Limited Company, you don't need to communicate with their solicitors now that you've decided to make a claim. The claim needs to be made against the Limited Company as their registered address.

The Limited Company will no doubt pass the court claim on to their solicitors once it's been issued by the court.
