  • Libel/Slander defences

Short story, I recently shopped my feral benefit cheat neighbours to the DSS, they were investigated and were caught. In retaliation the neighbours complained to the council about my CCTV camera overlooking the carpark, stating they had grandkids visit, insinuating this made the CCTV sinister. I Installed the CCTV due to criminal damage which started after they moved in, and turned it off at the council's request, soon after which my car window was cracked. The Police, as is standard, said no CCTV, no investigation, the council simply said no CCTV as it's a shared block. Short question, can I complain of libel due to the insinuation of unnatural interest in children in their complaint to the council?
