Re: Rlp letter advice
Hi and welcome.
Was the letter actually from Primark, or from another company called "Retail Loss Prevention"?
Anyway, just ignore that letter.
Primark lost nothing as the goods were presumably recovered in a saleable condition
They have not incurred extra costs as their staff were doing what they are paid to do.
They cannot fine you, as that is only done by the courts i this country (and the police aren't taking the matter any further).
You will now receive a stream of begging letters, designed to pressurise you into paying their exorbitant charge.
Ignore them all.
The only documents never to be ignored come from a court, and you won't get any of them!
Type Retail Loss Prevention into the search bar and see other similar cases.
You are not alone!
Ignore.
