  • Dmp advice f+f or bankrupcy

    Hi there.
I have 5 debts totalling 6334. They are credit cards and I think one was a bank overdraft .they were taken out in 2006.2007. Two are with moorcroft, 2 with idem services and one with Barclaycard.I was on a dmp with payplan paying token payments sometimes and last year paying 135 per month .My original debt was 12000. I have gone to stepchange and my payments are now reduced to 74 per month leaving me with 9 years to pay.I'm a single mum on benefits and was when I took out the debts in 2006-7.I suffered from depression for about 10 years and don't even know what the money was spent on as I was on antidepressants .no excuse I know but the lenders shouldn't have let me have the credit knowing I was on benefits.anyway, I was offered the option of bankruptcy by stepchange. So the question is , are my debts enforceable as they were around 2007; if a family member could give me £1000 to offer a F+f settlement for the £6334.debt , what's the likelihood it'd be accepted .if I request a copy of the original agreement do I keep paying them through my Dmp .should I then offer them the F+f figure ? Or if they refuse should I threaten bankrupcy ? What would be the worse would happen if I went bankrupt.I have no assets and I'm a council tenant .any advice please .thank you
