  • Housing Act s.214 claim

    Hi

I want to claim a penalty against my landlord for failing to protect my deposit.

As I understand it, I need to make a Part 8 claim?.......I am struggling to find out exactly what fees would be involved?

If anybody is able to assist me I would really appreciate it.

    Thanks
    Pete

The court issue fee will depend on the amount claimed. It's a pro rata thing.

Is there an underlying problem with the tenancy other than the deposit not being protected which can be remedied in certain circumstance?

Are you currently living in the property?
