  • No witness to sign settlement

    Dear all,

I am trying to settle my County Court case (reluctantly) but I have no witness to sign the agreement. The other side are insistent that this required.

What on earth am I supposed to do here?

    Many thanks.

Don't know many people where I live.

They have agreed to ditch the whole witness thing. I think the threat of rising costs pushed them into ditching it (I served a skeleton argument and draft amended particulars).

You could possibly (would cost tho') have asked your GP to sign it ... or your local MP :noidea:

I know when I needed a witness sig for my driving license application photos I got the local pub landlord to sign 'em xx

They have agreed to ditch the witness now thankfully.
