    Need to know what to do next...I work for a small business only 3 employees went to work 3days ago and both bosses said needed a chat said some money had gone missing on my previous shift from bosses coat pocket as per cctv I was only one on shift and near said coat other than them 2! My coat usually hangs over theirs . I would normally go in my coat s few times a shift for tablets lady items money from purse etc! I have no idea how much but they say only I could have done it ...I certainly did not and would never do. It's making me I'll i have been suspended while they consult police I would say that because cctv doesn't actually show Me taking anything rightly as I didn't ! Any advice should I go police myself or a solicitor not heard from work at all for 4 days now ! Thanks

    I think that although there is no evidence of theft your employer only needs a 'reasonable belief' that it happened
    However he has to carry out a proper investigation and provide you with all relevant information he obtains from that investigation before any disciplinary hearing.
    You must be allowed to state your case, and you are entitled to be accompanied by a work colleague or trade union representative at the hearing.
    You must also be notified of your right to appeal.
    Others more aware of employment procedures will be along to let you know your best options
