  • Car damaged in my apartment building secure car park

I was unsure where to post this, but hopefully here is ok.

Our apartment building has secure underground carpark, with the usual 'we will not be held responsible' sign at the entrance. There is some form of pipe running above my car, and the substance leaking from it has caused damage to the paint of my car. I informed the porter, along with pictures as the pipe was fixed...except that it wasn't and it continued to leak for another month.

The pipe has now been fixed, but my question is whether or not the sign negates any responsibility on their part

IMO they can shove up as many notices as they like but if damage is caused by their negligence they can be held liable
