  • The bank edited recorded call

    Hello,

I also cannot believe it but the bank have edited recording of the initial call, conversation we had.

In March I complained to the bank about a misleading information which involved suggestion to engage in a criminal act and they failed to respond to it, they tried to malignantly corner me into default.
I took it to the financial ombudsman who offered me £45 (to be paid by the bank) out of the £25.000 I was requesting due to the gravity of the situation.

I'm refusing the offer and requested the recording because what the FO said wasn't right, when i listened to it, I find that it has been edited and changed; I still can't believe the bank would go that far, I'm also very sure what we talked about in that call, most of my part missing and an addition from them.

I am now trying to find legal representatives to help claim more than the initial demand I made and that's why I'm here to ask for your help.

How can i take them to court?
Is it possible to get a "no win no fees" solicitor for this case?

    Hi welcome to LB,

Where does this figure of £25K arise from have you lost or some how been deprived of such an amount, has this event damaged you or your credit profile?

Why do you believe £25K + is appropriate for the alleged actions by the bank.

    nem

Can you prove that the conversation was edited?

Thanks for the quick follow up.

The £25.000 was the initial amount I was asking for, now that they didn't want to pay I'm planning to ask for more.. the damages cannot be well explained in the forum, because of privacy.

I know the call was edited, to prove it I'm thinking to get a copy from the telephone company as i didn't record myself.

      Thank you

Did the Ombudsman explain why £45.00 was suitable " redress"?

Quote from Ombudsman "Lloyds has offered you £45.00 compensation for distress and inconvenience caused"

Seeking a level of redress at £25K + is not going to be inexpensive or easy I think, getting a NWNF lawyer of Pro Bono representation will depend on the perceived likelihood of success, which can only be assessed when one knows the full story.
