          right just got off the phone to my contact, the basic premise that they wont intercede on defaults due to unlawful charges is still they basic position.

          However, what they have been doing recently is looking into the fairness of defaults in relation to when they are applied.

          Basically they are saying that the bank should apply defaults as soon as someone actually defaults and not some time later.

          My contact was also interested to know the details of this case since it may be that the defaults would be considered retaliatory and therefore they may be able to get them removed.

          If the OP (as opposed to PO! haha) wants to drop me a pm, with some details ill can see if we can get something in front of my contact.

          You need to be quick though otherwise you will have to wait until next week because I'm off for a week.

              Glen, thanks I will take you up on that. Go enjoy your hols, I'll still be here when you get back. I have posted the letter to the Bank. So it might be all sorted by then! I'll try and get a date when the defaults were put on.
