Agree on both counts, can't help but thinking the comment relating to 600 cases for 1 employee isnt far off what our 'friends' in DCA land deal with, meaning they are always going to struggle with CPR compliance/Mitchell.
But of course, in cases where the Defendant is unaware of their rights etc (most!) they are likely to be aiming for Default judgment anyway, I would imagine the ratio of Default judgments to those that have a go at fighting is prob at least 20/1 in their favour, which of course makes the whole process worthwhile for them.
