Documents sent to wrong recipient - any recourse?

Hi all
I'm currently in the throes of a financial dispute and the case is progressing through the courts as expected. The issue I have is that the other party's solicitor emailed me some very sensitive information through a couple of days ago - only they sent it to a colleague's email address, not mine, and this very private matter has now become somewhat more public as a result.
Do I have any recourse against that law firm? Shouldn't they have carried out the most basic of checks i.e. to ensure their recipient details are correct??
Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

Was the email sent specifically to that person? Did you ever cc that person in on your emails to the solicitors or anyone involved in the case? Otherwise, how did they find out that email address. One possibility is that your employer's domain may have a catch-all facility where all emais sent to unknown recipients get forwarded to a specific email address, in which case if, say, your name was misspelled, the email would be forwarded to that specific email. That practice is more common in smaller companies rather than large organisations. Otherwise how could the solicitors have obtained a colleague's email address?

Big banking had done it again. As if it needed any more damaging media, Chase Bank opened itself up to criticism by sending an Aurora, Colo., woman's mortgage documents to the wrong individual, reports CBS 4 Denver. This was another in a long line of incidents where banks have mishandled consumers' home loan documents. Luckily, the one who received it, Joe McStowe, is an honest man. As many firms reserve the right to monitor employee emails, it was unwise to use a work address for personal correspondence.

Yes, that is commonsense, use your own e-mail not works. in fact haver heard people been sacked for misuse of company property/equipment.
