The co-operative has announced it is the first supermarket chain to take advantage of the Legal Services Act 2007, which came into force 6 October 2011, and offer legal services to its customers.
Dubbed ‘Tesco law’ by critics, the Legal Services Act allows non-lawyers to offer legal advice to the public. The co-op is planning to advertise its legal services in its stores and actually provide them in its bank branches...........

The so called Tesco law is hammered home by prevoius cases won by Tesco, setting prescedence (in tesco's head), the pressedance(skuse the spellin), is previous cases won in court under the veil of local employment and regeneation, however we have a local issue with Tesco, they have submitted planning 3 times for a 24 hour store claiming it will improve local employment etc but it has been rejected for the 3rd time.
Tesco's response has been to buy local' large closed public houses, and turning them into tesco express. and the intended sites for 24 hour supermarkets have been developed into houseing estates where you can only get a mortgage through tesco's.
Local's are now looking to take Teasco's to court under European law with regards to a companies overall goal (for a better word) being in breech of European cartel rules
