My tooth was broken recently during a non-dental minor op when an endoscopy was inserted into my gall bladder. I think the surgeon put too much pressure on the tooth & my dentist thinks likewise. I have to have a false tooth made because the dentist says the tooth is can't be pepaired. The extraction was extremely painful & I couldn't work for a couple of days. I know I can claim for the treatment, expenses, loss of earnings etc but think I'm also entitled to claim for pain & suffering. Does any one know whether such damages have been quantified by the courts &, if so, the name of the case. Many thanks & apologies if this in the wrong forum.

On the other hand, would you have preferred the endoscope to have been inserted via some orifice other than your mouth?
