  • filming visiors to my property

    I'v got one of the jobsworth's from the council coming round to look at my house under his statutory powers. I want to film the entire thing for the purposes of accuracy and for he record . He say's its illegal but i mantain that as he's coming on to my property then i can film him all i like. Nothing is going to be posted anywhere . Can anyone advise ?

    As I understand, if you have informed them that you are filming them, then they have the right to have their name and face obscured from the film, i.e you must agree to protect their identity if it is their wish, but they should provide this wish in writting either before, or at least 14 days prior to publication, and it is down to the publisher to provide written notice of their intention to publish or use the evidence contained within the film.
