When a defendant has 28 days to file a defence, is the day he was served the claim included in the 28 days please?

14 days from service for acknowledgement and then a further 14 days to file defence.
BUT you must file the AoS or you don't get the further 14 days.

Always safest to start the clock from the date on the claim to ensure everything is filed in time.

      Thanks Curly

Date of service was Tuesday 18th January, so by my calculation time for filing defence expires on Monday 14th February.
Im expecting the Defendants will file a strike out application before then in order to halt proceedings and to avoid filing a defence.
