  • MP's Expenses

At last the supreme court has ruled in the general publics favour and dismised there claim that those expences wrongly taken is parlimentary priviledge and must stand in the doc at criminal court

    Good result
If you think nobody cares if you're alive, try missing a couple of payments.

      Erm, no.

There are 650 MPs in Parliament (well 649 now Woolas has been suspended) and yet only three are to face charges.

      Why?

Is that definite, or 3 so far?

I think even those who repaid the money back should also face the same criminal charges.

It is like stealing and when caught giving the money back. Surely these people knew what they were doing was totally wrong and they should all be brought to justice to pay for what they have done and if it means a jail sentence then so be it.

Mr Blair certainly got away with it as mysteriously all his expenses claims disappeared and there is no trace.

It is scandalous for MP's to think they can get away with it.

Indeed totally agree but 3 is better than none and i hope the judge goes hard on them so this new government is aware of the consequences

Yes and this just goes to demonstrate that the Supreme Court isn't in the pockets of the establishment as the conspiracy theorists suggested after the bank charges judgment.
