  • Company edit details in Accident book?

I need some advice but can't go into to much detail.
I had an accident which was not my fault and at the time details were entered into the accident book clearly stating what had happened.
Recently I requested a copy of the record only to find that there were 2 new pieces of information on the accident form. Both of which clearly discredit what happened and what they wrote.
It now looks like I made the whole thing up.
Where do I stand and how can I prove this was carried out after I had signed the form.
Please help as I am at a loss as what to do.

My 1st thought is why would you sign something that discredits you? You wouldn't of course so the only 'reasonable' conclusion is that it was added later without your knowledge AND unless they are prepared to lie through their back teeth (which they seldom are) they will probably admit it OR as is usually the case, plead ignorance as to why it happened

Brilliant info my good friend. That is why I love this site.
Your post is spot on. I wouldn't sign anything that discredits the truth.
      Thank you.

Do you also have witnesses to the accident that can verify your account of what happened?
Any opinions I give are my own. Any advice I give is without liability. If you are unsure, please seek qualified legal advice.

I do have witnesses but they maybe biased as they possibly have alternative motives and their own necks on the line so not sure if they would fully back up what happened when the $**T hits the fan so to speak.
