  • Land rights

    OK, I've got one for you all.
    Kind of following on from squatters rights, but applying to a small parcel of land.

    Bit of back ground, the rear of our row of houses used to have allotments for each house separated by a small, unmetaled service road. Now over time these plots have changed hands form the original home owners.
    My neighbour has set up a veggie patch on "her" plot that is owned by another party. This third party has never complained about this or entered any kind of formal arrangement on the plot.

    Assuming they don't try and enforce their rights on this plot would it pass to me neighbour due to continued usage. Is there a process that needs to be adhered to or is the simple passage of time enough.

    Hope that makes sense, if not shout.

        One has to also look at matters concerning, right of way/access;
        right of way that goes back to time immemorial.
