Hi,
I had recently applied for a shotgun certificate and with it payed for the medical profoma to be filled out by a GP. This was completed but a note on it appeared that surprised me:
"It is recorded in the medical notes from a consultation in (MONTH) 2023 that this applicant was an occasional user of marijuana."
I do not recall telling a GP this, and am not an occasional user of marijuana. I have sent and received an SAR from my GP to see what it is that was noted and saw this:
"(NAME) Sometimes smokes, He occasionally uses marijuana"
I find it hard to believe I would have told a GP this, but then do not believe they made it up from nothing.
I would appreciate some input on weather it best to apply to have this record rectified or removed, and what the best approach is for this in terms or reasoning etc.
I am unsure weather this would result in my original application being denied, but do not feel it necessary to be on my record nor accurate.
Any input is greatly appreciated.
