    Who to sue? (Dentist)
I have a complaint with a private self employed dentist which has reached an impasse and I wish to send a Letter Before Action.
Do I sue the dentist personally or the practice where he works?
If the former the practice have refused to give me his contact details so would a letter to him via the practice be deemed good service?
    Many thanks

Is this a claim for medical/clinical negligence?
All opinions expressed are based on my personal experience. I am not a lawyer and do not hold any legal qualifications.

You can sue both. The practice should be insured. The individual might not be.

You may be able to obtain an address for the individual from the General Dental Council.
Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

The Dentist has a complaints process (if exhausted).

Taking legal action should be a last resort (that's how the Courts see it).
