Hi , can anyone help with an issue, I received an email from police to say an allegation of assault had been made against me and I had to acknowledge the email which I did then I receive another email saying that no further action will be taken as the accuser is no longer supportive of the investigation so lack of evidence no further action to be taken, Then it says that I have been recorded as a suspect of a crime? The police have not asked for a statement, they haven't spoke to me for my side of the story or any evidence and then I am told this.
I didn't report the incident to the police as it wasn't anything really and didn't want to waste their time, what will this record be as I do have to have enhanced DBS checks and I just feel this is so unfair, can anyone assist please ?

I would try to arrange a meeting with a senior officer at the nearest police station to you
