  • Owed money what can I do

Hi, any help appreciated thank you. I lent a couple £390.00 in October, it was not a lump sum, they asked over a period of a couple of weeks,.. They didn not pay back quickly, it dragged on over some months, excuses why they couldn't pay, eventually they paid me £200.so owe me £190.00.
both claim benefits, get housing benefits, and she once said she does work cash in hand also. I have copied and downloaded all messages, and excuses why they cannot pay, then they are saying it will be paid, its gone on so long. I know texts can be used in court as evidence? I withdrew cash from cashpoint to lend the money, and when i gave it to them, they thanked me by text afterwards, they asked for the money in text messages. So I have proof in the evidence all showing it coincides as it does. I am on benefits myself in my 60s, cannot work, will this cost me more than it is worth to take them to court, what type of court do I take them to if I do, what financial aide would I get? Can I do this on gov. Uk to start a proceeding online? Any help please.

Yes, you can. You can commence a county court claim online. See the guides posted in the thread in the link in my signature block below.
