Hi Guys, I have reported an incident to the police and they are not responding.
in brief. I was leaving a club and ordering a taxi home. The door staff and people that was putting the event said order the cab round the corner as your friend is drunk. I agreed, then they said she needs to stay as she's too drunk to leave. They locked her in the club for 3 hours and wouldn't let me in. They let her go and she had a bloody nose, glasses broken. She was still drunk. The owner does not have the CCTV and said you can't see much anyway, as there are car lights and a lampost outside. Therefore you cannot see anything. I'm wanting to know if this is legal and what I can do. Thanks

Does you friend intend to report the incident to the police? Can she remember anything about what happened at the club?
The police are probably waiting to see if your friend comes forward

I agree with Pezza. If an incident is actually in progress they will respond regardless of who reports it. But if the incident was some days ago they will expect the victim to report (unless there is some reason why the victim can't).

Did she go to hospital and get medical treatment?
