    What is the reasoning for the fact that there is no compensation for being imprisoned on remand when found not guilty ?

    this question was put to me and I am s watching my head, why not ?

    Just seen this due to the forum glitch. Remand is rare and has to be justified. The court which remands sincerely believed there was a risk of further crime or intimidation of witnesses etc. Trials for remanded prisoners are conducted much more quickly than those for people on bail. Not an answer but food for thought
