  • Shared Driveway Issue

My next-door Neighbour and I share a driveway; however we live on an incline. so whenever he washes his car, the water, soap suds and dirt runs across my drive and onto my grass verge. I have politely asked him not to do it and instead wash his car on the street but he simply stated the soap he uses is PH neutral. I said to him oil and brake dust are not PH neutral but he has basically ignored my requests. Not sure where I stand on this.

What damage has been caused, if any?
Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

Litigants in Person should download and read the Judiciary's handbook for litigants in person: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf

Thanks for your reply. From the upstairs bedroom window it is clear my side of the drive is darker. There is a crack running down the edge of my drive but difficult to prove cause. Grass is dying on verge and completely washed out on a section. Does there need to be specific damage? Is it not simply an unwanted invasion of my property, poor behaviors and lack of courtesy?

Neighbour disputes consum your soul, and bank balance. They are to be avoided like Nigel Farridge.

Sort this out with your neighbour. Put in something to divert the water from your lawn.
