  • Trustee giving away valuable aset to non beneficiary

Can a Trustee give away an asset to a non beneficiary of an estate?

My brother gave away a 3 year old car, which was in a good sellable condition, to a non beneficiary of my late mother's estate?

The car could have been sold to have put funds into a Trust.

Would this be a good cause to have him removed as a Trustee for defrauding the trust out of an asset which could have been sold?

I am fully aware he gave the car to his son's girlfriend, an unmarried couple, she then damaged the vehicle not long after receiving it.

I objected to the car being giving to her on the grounds she was not entitled to it, but my brother refused to ignore my concerns.

I have raised this with my solicitor and he's looking into it.
