    All these drivers do 'customer focused face to face' interaction training , millions spent on it by the companies, then what do the drivers do?

    They just drive off.

      Yes, but ...

      The drivers are under pressure, given tight schedules, required to hit targets etc. They can't win.

        That is true. The customer has the ability to track the delivery driver, but if the driver falls behind on a scheduled delivery, the company has the ability to tamper with the 'tracking technology'.

            I had a delivery, the tracking showed he had 60 deliveries for the day, it showed that by 1.30pm he had completed 55 deliveries, my delivery was at 1.30pm, he didn't turn up until 5.00pm, so it took him (according to the technology) 3 1/2 hours to deliver the other 5 packages, which is 'ridiculous', as far as the 'tracking technology' goes.

              Is this company called DPD? Yeah. They're not the best.

              I think their drivers get lazy. I was supposed to get exotic fruit delivered on a weekday and they claim a delivery was attempted, when it wasn't. So I rescheduled the delivery for the Friday of the same week once. They were seen on the tracker driving about in my area, as I installed their app. But the goods never arrived that day, as I waited to see if delivery 36 (me) was truly their next assignment.

              Finally had the items delivered to my mother's house the following week. Kumquats hadn't even been bagged properly. Although that was the fault of the supplier.

              I think they just cannot be bothered coming up a flight of stairs. After I looked them up on Google, I found so many negative reviews about the company.
