  • NI PPS time frames

Hi, I was interviewed by the Police in October last year over something minor and was advised that the file will be passed to the PPS who will give their outcome within 8 weeks. Which is now 9 months past. When I called the officer in charge of the case a few months ago I was advised that my case would not be a priority to them and he will follow it up. I have yet to hear anything nor received a letter as detailed on the PPSNI website.

"We will aim to tell you the outcome within 8 weeks of your application for a review.

However some cases are very complex and a review may take longer than 8 weeks. In these cases, we will write to you within the 8 week period advising you of how long the review will take and when a decision is likely to be available"

Can I request an update or proposed time frame for them to make a decision?

The PSNI still have a few off my belonging and wont release them to the PPS make their decision on the case.
