  • Someone posted a photo of me on a popular website and it gained some attention

    I posted a photo of myself online and only a few people saw it before it was deleted but someone saved my photo and then reposted it on another website where it received 18,000 likes in a few days and hundreds of comments. The website's FAQ says that they will remove photos that show a person's face if the person contacts them and I did but they have been ignoring my emails. Is it legal for someone to repost photos of you without permission?

    Trading Standards may be able to advise you regarding this. It seems to happen a lot and if you posted it to the public, I expect, but do not know, that it is available to post by others by sharing or publishing. Trading standards may help
